About KASSEM
A dignified, transparent record of Kano South graduates and the support they receive.
Kano South Association of Post Secondary School Unemployed (KASSEM) is a public service platform that registers post-secondary school graduates across the 16 local government areas of Kano South, connects them to opportunities, and records the support they receive.
KASSEM was created with a simple conviction: a graduate should not be invisible. By maintaining a verified, searchable directory, the association gives every graduate a name in the record and gives partners a clear way to find the skills they need.
Our objectives
- Address post-secondary unemployment through direct support and partnerships.
- Create a verified database of graduates across all 171 wards.
- Connect graduates to jobs, grants, scholarships, and practical training.
- Track impact transparently, so every placement and grant is visible.
- Build a lasting network of graduates, coordinators, employers, and institutions.
“For too long, the young men and women of Kano South have graduated from our institutions only to return home and wait. KASSEM exists to make sure that no graduate in our 16 local government areas is invisible. When a young person is registered here, …”
